Vintage Monograms I
Monograms are the simplest and easiest forms of embroidery decoration. Great care, pride and artistry was involved in creating one of a kind intertwined letters of the alphabet to create Monograms for the household. Young girls prided on their excellent workmanship in creating such letters and embroidering them on household linens, personal garments, handkerchiefs etc. Vintage Monogram I is the first in the series of Monograms depicting the Victorian era with a modern day twist. The designs in Vintage Monogram I were created with a simple cursive font decorated with vines and leaf type flowers to give a vintage look. Each letter comes in three sizes with the smallest one being without the vines. The Monograms also come with the numbers 0 through 9 as well as five border designs similar to the vines and leaves on the Monograms. The designs have an airy look and are not meant to be dense therefore the background fabric will show through vaguely at times. All the designs are for the 4x4 hoop except for a couple of the border designs. The designs can be purchased individually or as a collection. Each alphabet purchased individually comes in three sizes. The borders can also be purchased as a collection or individually. The largest letter in the monogram is about 3.5”. The medium size is about 2.70” and the smallest letter is about 1.60”.I hope you will enjoy using these designs as much as I enjoyed creating them.
