“Something Blue” collection came about with my love for the blue color. I had always envisioned creating something that would be in shades of blue color. The designs I had envisioned were a mixture of my Persian heritage but with a modern day twist. Although the designs in “Something Blue” use two shades of blue, yet any two shades of a preferred color scheme could be used. The color blue is a calming color. In many cultures, the color blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace and is believed to keep bad spirits away. It reflects importance and confidence and has long been considered a corporate color. Many other traits such as intelligence, stability, unity and conservatism have been associated with the color blue. The designs can be used as continuous borders or only a single motif could embellish any garment, household linens etc. The collection also has edgework designs which enable one to create fancy cutwork edges on garments and linens as well. All the designs are for the 4x4 hoop. I hope you will enjoy using these designs as much as I enjoyed creating them.

A large 17" diameter table centerpiece created using SB13(as the edge cutwork), SB5(on each of the edge cutwork panels) and SB14 (four together in the center). SB12 was stitched out four times to make coasters. Table linen adorned with Vintage Linen I designs h and e. Note that Vintage Linen I design h is a freestanding lace insert. |

SB8 design was used over and over to create this elegant Dupioni silk shawl. SB14 was stitched out in the V intersection of the border design. Gold and rust colors were used.
