"Izmir"
“Izmir”, also known as “Smyrna” (Greek) is the third largest city in Turkey. Enriched in history by Huns, Greek, Romans etc. it has produced its own remarkable artistry. Rumi artistry takes abstract flowers, birds and animals as forms of decoration on buildings, carpets, home décor items etc. The designs in the collection are my own rendition of that type of artistry with a modern day twist.
The collection has twenty designs. All the designs are created utilizing specialty stitches, making each design unique. The designs can be mixed to create larger tapestry type embroideries. As borders, the designs will enhance any home décor or wearable giving it a unique and admirable look. You will need a 4x4 hoop and a 5x7 hoop to stitch out the designs from the collection. The designs stitch out fast and yet give a look of a lot of effort and work. I hope you will enjoy "Izmir" as much as I enjoyed creating the designs.
