Stitch out several of the gift2004 designs on water soluble stabilizer. Let dry on a tea towel.

If you are making a doily, then you will need 11 panels. Place the slightly damp panels together on a flat surface and let dry completely.

For a bowl, you will need eight to ten panels, depending upon how large you prefer to create your bowl.

When the panels are completely dry, load monofilament thread in your machine and using a wide zigzag, stitch two of the panels together. If you desire, use similar bobbin thread in the bobbin area to match the background of the panel.

To make the bowl, keep on stitching eight to ten panels together. When you come to the first panel, simply pull the last panel together with the first one and also stitch it together.

You have stitched out the bowl. As you can see I have used ten panels since I wanted my bowl to be wide open and not tall. If you want tall then use less panels.

Place tapestry fabric or two layers of cotton fabric on a flat surface. Place the bowl on top of it. Now pin the bowl to the fabric. You will notice that your bowl has a bit of ??? to it, interesting, no?

Using the same zigzag stitch, join the bowl panels to the fabric from right side up.

Once the panels are joined to the fabric, trim away excess fabric using a sharp scissor.

And the bottom of the bowl is done.

Stitch together eleven panels for the doily.

In same manner apply fabric to the center and then trim away the excess.

The doily is done and can be used to showcase special decorative items.
Hint: Use different colors to represent different times of year. Instead of pink flower, use red to showcase a poinsettias.

Fill the bowl with candy.....
