Feathered Trails

Feathered Trails is another name for the Drunkard’s path quilt block. The Drunkard's Path pattern creates an illusion of a meandering design, without any straight edges. Feathered trails mimic the same, using two blocks that create the effect. The blocks are approximately 5”square and can be used to create a larger pattern depending upon the user's choice. The designs are for the 5x7 hoop.
The curved edges of the applique within the block create an effect of waves and are thought to be one of the most difficult blocks to create. The applique method makes the block simple and easy. The pieces are like a jig-saw puzzle, leaving the creativity up to the embroiderer. The collection documentation explains the method to create the quilt in the hoop, coupled with the sewing machine..
The collection is extremely versatile and sure to bring joy from your creativities. Happy quilting/embroidering, Sadia
