"Farsi" II(b)

"Farsi" is pronounced Far-see. The word "Farsi" means Persian or pertaining to Persia. Persian art and architecture is a watershed of many cultures including Arab, Greek, Turkish, Chinese etc. The use of ornamental and decorative designs lend themselves to flowery vines, birds, creatures of folklore etc. These designs can be seen in carpets, textiles, mosques, ceramics, metals and just about on any surface or form. The "Safavid" dynasty (early 1500) was famous for glorifying the Persian arts under Shah Tahmasp who made Isfahan his Capital and promoted the artisans. Isfahan is famous for its beautiful architecture and art depicted on buildings even today.

In "Farsi" II(b) collection, I have tried to capture the artistic sense of the Persian florals with a modern day twist of using applique method in the designs. The designs come in applique and non-applique. There are Nine applique designs and fourteen non-applique designs making it a total of twenty-three designs in the second part of Farsi II collection. These designs are all of floral motifs. The designs are a mixture of 4x4 hoop and 5x7 hoop designs. You may purchase designs individually or purchase the complete collection. When you purchase an applique design you also receive the non-applique design. Please do note that there are five non-applique designs.
