Tidbits-May 2010

It has certainly been a long while since my last post, well over two months ago! No, I’ve not gone away, just that life has been hectic for me. Truth be told, I haven’t really spend that much time in my sewing room but a lot of it on the Interstates between Maryland and Missouri. In February, my dear husband John was diagnosed with GBM IV, which is considered the worst type of brain cancer. Prayers and surgery has given him a chance and we continue to hope and pray that treatments and care will give him quality of life. Last weekend, I went to Missouri to bring him to Maryland and to move his treatments and care to the East coast. My visit home was nice as dear daughter and her boyfriend came over!

Although I have spent time away from my machines, yet somethings have been in the planning stages. Take a peek and let me know what you think!

The sneak peak is from Lady Jayne collection, which is a complete set of Victorian Sewing box and accessories. Carolyn and I have been working on it now for somewhile and we hope to release it soon.

Thank you for a new blog!!! I always need my Sadia Fix!!! I know life has not slowed down for you or John, let us carry some of the load and know we all continue our prayers. Fun idea it looks like with the Victorian Sewing boxes, I do see Carolyns touch there, great minds work well together.

Hello Sadia. I am currently learning about machine embroidery, testing designs on different fabrics, very basic stuff…lots of trial and error at this point. I searched for others out there who do machine embroidery for inspiration and encouragement and came across your blog. Very nice!!

Thank you dear friends for your kindness, I appreciate it so very much. Nutmeg, I’ll definitely try to take more care of your fix! Christine, welcome to the world of machine embroidery and thanks for stopping by. Trial and error is how literally all of us got started. Don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions. Hugs, Sadia

Sadia, I’m so sorry to hear of your husbands illness. I’ve also had family members with GBM and am all too familiar with the struggle against this illness. May your faith give you strength and may family and friends draw close around you to provide support. Regards,

Hi Sadia,
I am always behind reading my blogs, etc. Along with everyone else I am lifting your hubby up in prayer for a complete cure. My Aunt has had a brain tumor for 6 yrs & just finished another round of radiation & she is so remarkably strong. My 37 yr step-daughter finished chemo in March for breast cancer & she did very well also. People who go thru these traumatic illnesses are my heroes.

I am also so sorry you lost your samples, I am upset for you but I know you will create even more beautiful things for us to enjoy. Thanks so much for all your hard work & free samples.

hugs & prayers to you & your family, keep the faith!

It’s been quite a while since I had time to stop by the blog. I was saddened to read about your husband’s battle. I hope that he will find excellent care in MD. Praying for your family during this time.
