Ribbons and threads=Jewelry??
I returned home day before tired but extremely happy. The month long journey of traveling about 6700 miles did start to get a bit tiring at the very end but it was well worth it. Now I can see your raised eyebrows there my friends….the US is only about 3000+- miles so how did I manage to do about 6700 miles? Well, the trip started with an overnight stay at Nashville and continuing down to the panhandle of Florida and then all the way across to the west coast at Sacramento and then via Utah and Colorado ending at home….whew!
I will post pictures of some unusual things that I saw during my
journey and I did learn a lot. One major thing…the US is a huge continent! And it is full of amazing artists and amazing notions. One of the most amazing notions that I came across at the ASG National Convention was the Diva Custom Cord Maker. I had heard about it at various places but had never seen it in person. The multitude of projects that one can make from simple threads and ribbons is amazing! Ofcourse I had to purchase the set to try it out myself.
Within half an hour I had a cord about sixteen inches long! And the best part was that I was totally hooked! It is quite easy to use the apparatus and ofcourse the ideas are unlimited. Have a look at their website: http://www.fibergoddess.net/projects.html
I do see a lot of usage out of this especially creating my one of a kind cords for garments etc. As for jewelry, I think dd would be most interested!
