Stapler is a very userful thing:

I know when I was a little girl, I was always amazed at how the stapler could hold so many sheets of paper together. Growing up and watching my elder sister staple the hem of her dress was another interesting time for me when I realised the importance of this tool. Coming home last night from a minor surgery I was impressed when the surgeon told me that I should be careful the next couple of days in washing my hair as he didn’t want the staples to come out until he took them out….that indeed made me realise even more the usefulness of this tool. Whomever invented this tool, you did a great job!

Kids in Distress:

The drive for quilts for Kids in Distress 2006 was a grand success.  I have to admit I was at a loss what to do for the drive this year. Time and again I had gone to my drawing board to think up some special collections that could only be for the donators of quilts for the Kids in Distress. But from seeing how wonderful the drive was last year, I realised I could not do justice in making just one or two collections but had to have several. So friends, I’ve earmarked twelve collections to select from for the donators of quilts for Kids in Distress. For more details: http://www.sadiasews.com/kids2007.html  I hope this year we can double the number of quilts sent to this wonderful organization. Please spread the word and do participate. These children are our tomorrows and our future. If we can give them the wonderful gift of our love via these quilts we can be assured that their lives and their tomorrows with the help of our quilts would be so much brighter.

Ruthies’ Notions:

I am so pleased and thrilled to announce that I will be showcasing a two day seminar filled with all sorts of machine embroidery techniques at Ruth Barnhill’s in Baker, Florida. The dates are scheduled for July 13 and 14, 2007. Ruth is the largest Babylock dealer in the USA and is well known for her generosity and compassion in the world of machine embroidery. For signing up please visit Ruthie’s website: http://ruthiesnotions.com/ and sign up for the two day event. I am already excited and frantically making up all sorts of interesting ideas and techniques to share with friends. There is no charge for attending but you must register beforehand as there might be a space limitation.

Moreso, I will be returning to Ruthie’s in October so do visit her website for details and if you are planning to be in the area, do come and visit and have fun learning. Hope to see many friends there.
