Google Earth:

One of the neatest softwares that I have found is called “Google Earth”. It allows one to view geographic locations, addresses, etc. around the world in 3-Dimensional aerial view using satellites imagery. Some while back there was another software called Teraserve which could show the same but it was available only in black and white. Google Earth is not only in color but also has various features such as 3-D view of buildings, localities etc. One could sit at one’s computer and visit just about any locality in the world. There are several versions of it but the recent Beta version is free download: http://earth.google.com/download-earth.html 

Want to see what your house looks like from an aerial view….type in your address and let it find! Are you going camping and want to see what the terrain would be like, type in the area/park and know all about it before hand. Want to visit your home town and see what changes have occured over the years, well….it is but a button click away. A fun software and a fun way to look up places.
