Power of One-Machine Embroidery continued
Continuing with how to use one embroidery design to create an elaborated design, this time I decided to create a special purse for dd. Using the beta Embird Studio 2006 to create a liquid fill design, I chose a strange fabric I had picked up some while back. It felt like leather but had a flannel backing to it. My guess, the fabric is used for upholstery purposes. Well, I had it and wanted it out of my stash….more on using up scraps and getting rid of some of the fabrics.
The design was a simple one with a Jacobean type flower at top and leaves on either side of the stem, nothing fancy but I decided to give it a bit of shading using dual liquid fills spaced apart therefore giving the design a bit more pizzazz. I continued to create a border of the one design by placing it mirror imaged one on top of the other. For the center I decided to take the Jacobean flower and make a centerpiece out of it. The density of the whole design was perfect as it was leather I was stitching on. Actually the whole embroidery was a breeze, it was the assembly of the purse that gave me fits. With the flannel backing, it became rather hard to turn the straps right side out.
A simple design but a masterpiece purse. I do hope dd likes it….

Oh Sadia, i love the design, now i have another project to do…lol…
