Hello Chere, thank you so much. Yes, definitely Blackwork is totally different than redwork.Redwork is generally a running stitch or a stem stitch worked throughout the design where in blackwork or as my friend calls it &quot;spanysshwork&quot; there are a multitude of stitches which make up the various design elements therefore giving the embroidery more texture and definition.
