Am I ready??
And the answer is NO, NO, and NO, LOL. I leave in about ten days for the long trek to Virginia via Atlanta, GA. Sort of a long way to get to Virginia but as a dear friend of mine is also heading that way and she has the major portion of my set up for the booth at the ASG National Convention, I definitely need to go via Atlanta. As for being ready for the show…this is perhaps the first time since a long while that I am no where close to being ready. Partly because I’ve released way too many collections in the last few months and every design in every collection requires extensive scrutiny from conversion to other formats, reconversion back to my machine’s formats to double check the stitching and to see if there are any problems. No cds/books can be started or finished before this close examination and testing is carried out. But, I have hope and determination so even if I have to live on tea (hot tea, not cold) for the next ten days to keep awake and finish all the tasks yet to be completed, I will be ready. I will be ready…not yet but I will be ready, fingers crossed.
Rowenta Steam Generator
All I can say about this extremely wonderful iron is that it is worth every bit of $$ spend. The water tank rests underneath the iron and the iron itself is never filled with water which means no funny steam drops etc on your garments when ironing. The steam generator costs anywhere from $180-$210 depending upon the store. I happened to be at my dealers today and stopped off at a Jo-Ann’s on my way home and saw that they had a 40% sale…WOW! I immediately went straight to the Rowenta steam generator as I have been eyeing on for the past one year. Ofcourse dh just cannot understand why one iron is different from the other so I set it up as well as one of my best irons (I have about three irons that I use) and brought out one of my cotton shirts. One sleeve I ironed with my regular steam iron, not bad. Then I used the Rowenta….the difference was obvious. However, he only shook his head…LOL. Oh well!
