Update on KIDS Project
The project is just barely one month old and already we have about 18 quilts received from friends all over the US. WOW! Talk about generous hearts and kind people. I was talking to Dianne today and remarked that if we receive 20 quilts every month, by December we surely will have 100 quilts to give to the charity. Okay, you are probably wondering what I am talking about.
For the past several years I have been sponsoring the Kids in Distress charity. Many friends all over the world help out by making quilts and donating to the charity at the American Embroidery Conference. Some years ago a dear friend, Susan Mars from AllAboutBlanks pitched in and for every six quilt blocks received, she would give out free linens. Other friends like Cookie Gaynor from Cookie’s Creations would hold gatherings where these blocks were put together into quilts. I know that there are many friends who are quilters as well as embroiderers so I decided to give a bit of helping hand. Details can be found here: http://www.sadiasews.com/kids.html So far I have heard from so many friends everywhere pitching in to create quilts for the kids. Even those who have never quilted before have been excited to take part. If you are a quilter or just want to help out a needy child, we would love to have your help.

This is a wonderful service you are doing Sadia . On top of your providing the much needed information for us embroiderers on your other blog enteries.
You are a kind and generous person. Keep up the work.
Hugs
