Tribute to Betty Cauthen

Sunset Threads

"Betty's Rose" by Sadia Andrews

Betty Cauthen was a pioneer in the field of Home Machine Embroidery. Her very first designs are to be found on Ann The Gran's website known as Calendar Sunbonnet Sues. My very first internet downloads, these designs were stitched out by millions across the globe reliving the always cherished Sunbonnet Sue. Betty Cauthen was a kind, generous person, loved by many. Here is a small token of my tribute to Betty, a freestanding lace rose bud to wear as a pin in rememberance of Betty Cauthen.

Please share this website with your friends and remember Betty Cauthen and the opportunities that she presented to the Home Embroiderer. "Sunbonnet Betty", you will be missed.

Hugs,
Sadia Andrews

Stitch the design on Water soluble stabilizer. After the wss has been washed out and the rose is completely dry, attach a pin on the back to wear as a rememberance pin.
