Mariner’s Compass is one of the most coveted and difficult quilt blocks to create on the sewing machine. The points of the compass make it a necessity to utilize paper piecing methods to achieve perfection, which has been skillfully duplicated as an applique on the embroidery machine.

The compass can have at least four points upto however many as one prefers. The collections have several variations of four, eight and sixteen point compass. The designs come in three collections, available in two sizes: 5x7 hoop and 8x8 hoop. One block consists of a quarter of a full compass and can be stitched out as a plain pieced block or as a quilted block. The blocks can be joined together as desired to create a quilt, placemats, runners, jacket backs, or used as an embellishment for home décor and wearables.

The 5x7 hoop quarter block measures approximately 4.96". Four blocks put together to create a full block measures approximately 9.82". The 8x8 hoop quarter block measures approximately 7.22". Four blocks put together to create a full block measures approximately 14.35".
